The State of Illinois has established the following requirements for minors seeking employment. Required information should be brought to the Reception Area.

Students under 16 years of age must have an Employment Certificate in order to work. In order to obtain this certificate, the student must have a 2.0 grade point average; bring a birth certificate, social security number, letter of intent to hire (stating type of work and approximate hours), current physical, and a parent/legal guardian to the school issuing officer.

Students over 16 years of age must show proof of age to their employer. In order to obtain a Certificate of Age, students must bring a letter of intent to hire, their social security number, and birth certificate to the school issuing officer.
