Grayslake District 127 is proud to announce that Dr. Abe Singh, Associate Superintendent/CSBO, has officially earned the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations® (SFO®) designation, awarded by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).
This prestigious national certification recognizes Singh’s expertise, high ethical standards, and commitment to fiscal responsibility in public education. It affirms what our community already knows: Abe Singh is a trusted leader dedicated to making every dollar count for students.

His SFO certification is not only a personal milestone, but it’s also a win for our entire district.”
To earn the SFO designation, Singh met rigorous eligibility requirements and passed a comprehensive exam covering accounting and school business management topics.
The certification must be renewed every three years to ensure continued professional development and accountability.
ASBO International Executive Director James Rowan described SFOs as “keenly sought after due to their experience and expertise in appropriately allocating resources to meet their constituents' current and future needs.”

Maintained a 10-year streak of Financial Recognition from the Illinois State Board of Education
Earned an AA+ bond rating
Returned $10.8 million in tax relief to residents through the Property Tax Relief Grant
Delivered $7.6 million annually in additional relief since the 2002 building bonds were fully paid off in 2021, further reducing the local tax burden
