Multicultural Clubs

GNHS wants all students to feel safe, welcomed, and celebrated. Our multicultural groups contribute to the inclusive goal of our building. All students are welcome in all organizations. The goal is to learn about other cultures and celebrate all of our students.

AAPI Alliance

Black Union

The Black Union was founded solely on the belief that black students and allies should always have a space to express themselves. Black Union is family! Come join us and BU!

French Club

Le Cercle Francais, The French Club, is open to all French students. The French Club sponsors have many exciting events throughout the year. We participate in Homecoming in the fall, National French Week in November, and several other activities dealing with French cuisine and culture. We also go on field trips to areas of French-speaking interest. We have a bi-weekly meeting and also have personalized t-shirts. Allez-viens!!!

Meetings are every other Thursday in A147.

Latinos Stand Up

Latinos Stand Up is a club open to any student at GNHS, regardless of their ethnicity. The purpose of this club is to explore and celebrate Latino culture and support the Latino community. This club meets weekly and has discussions, fundraisers, dances, soccer tournaments, parties, and field trips. We also participate in Homecoming with window painting and decorating a golf cart. Competing in the Highland Park High School Chicano Academic Bowl is one of our favorite events of the year.

Meetings are every Thursday after school in The Hub.

Spanish Club

Spanish Club membership is open to all current Grayslake North students who are interested in exploring Hispanic culture. Spanish Club members participate in many different school and cultural activities throughout the year. Our activities focus on foods and customs of the Spanish speaking world through the tasting/making of different foods, the making of holiday decorations and crafts, dancing, field trips and lots of fun.

The club meets at least twice a month after school.
